In Japanese, shiatsu means “finger pressure.” It originated in Japan, with roots in traditional Chinese medicine.
Shiatsu is practiced through gentle finger or palm pressure on acupressure points, combined with assisted stretching, joint mobilization, and subtle manipulation. This bodywork invites the nervous system to slow down and the body to soften, opening a space for deep relaxation.
It is an attentive and sensitive touch that helps release stress and tension while supporting the body’s natural ability to re-center and re-balance itself—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
My gift as a practitioner lies in presence, softness, and trust. I allow myself to be guided by what is here in the moment, simply accompanying the body towards what it needs, honoring its innate wisdom to self-regulate and restore balance.
What to expect & prepare:
The session takes place fully clothed, on a futon on the floor.
I advise you to bring soft and comfortable long clothes and warm socks.
A whole session lasts about an hour, with some tea & time to talk before and after, and of course, time to integrate.
